aliana mt (they/she) is a director, photographer, and artist based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in a Jewish and Cuban family of artists and activists, she grew up surrounded by creativity and social justice. aliana attended Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, where they studied Photography, Studio Arts, and Animal Rights. Since graduating, their artwork has been exhibited in several shows in Los Angeles and on the East Coast and featured in several publications. 

aliana's artistic vision is rooted in her exploration of the unconscious mind and deeply influenced by her fascination with dreams. Their photographs capture surreal and abstract landscapes that evoke the mystery and symbolism of the dream world. Her photographs are characterized by their dreamlike quality, with surreal and otherworldly landscapes that blur the boundaries between reality and imagination.

aliana's fiber art practice is an exploration of various textile techniques, including knitting, crocheting, sewing, and embroidery. One of aliana's notable skills is her expertise in darning garments, a process of repairing and reinforcing worn or damaged fabrics. Their exceptional craftsmanship caught the attention of various brands, leading to their work being featured in Vogue. Through her darning practice, aliana not only breathes new life into garments but also highlights the value of sustainability and the importance of preserving clothing.
aliana is currently working on several photography, fiber, and video projects 
and always looking to connect / collaborate with others.
